Celebrating Barbie's 50th anniversary

As Barbie's 50th anniversary approached, Mattel wanted to celebrate in a big way. I proposed the idea to build a massive diorama of Barbie dolls, buildings, and accessories, and record a sweeping video single-cut video flythrough with interaction hotspots sprinkled along the way. The single-cut video would loop back in on itself creating an infinite loop. The concept was greenlit and I led UX through planning and wireframes.

Planning and wireframes

I developed a unique site map format to show a seamless progression from intro to the looping video flying through era-themed dioramas, taking users on a visual journey of Barbie history.
