
Structuring a new header and navigation to scale across VF's brands
Over time, each brand's headers slowly deviated from a common structure, causing increased dev effort and delays to even small requests. I co-led a cross-brand stakeholder effort with an engineering partner to realign the headers, while still allowing room for important brand-specific deviations.
Live wireframing in coded prototypes
Forgoing static wireframes, I rapidly built fully-interactive coded prototypes to allow product manager's a deeper evaluation on our concepts. This proved tremendous in arriving at a solution, as iteration and discussion was around an artifact everyone could play with, not just look at.



Initial test with Timberland
Timberland volunteered to be the first out the gate. Several kinks were worked out in both design and development. Experimentation proved successful and the header rolled out to production.

Rollout to all brands
As JanSport came next, I was prepared with a more robust set of components ready to go. By the third brand, The North Face, it became a seamless production with the remaining brands completed in rapid succession.
